Mass ka Dass Viswak Sen is coming as Laila this Valentine’s Day. The actor, who had a mixed 2024, is looking to bounce back and give a perfect start to 2025. Viswaksen released Gaami, Gangs of Godavari, and Mechanic Rocky last year, where Gaami did fairly well at the box office. Despite good content, the remaining two remained just okay. Laila is all set to hit the screens this Friday, February 14, 2025.
With a runtime of 2 hours and 16 minutes, Laila received A certificate from the Censor Board today. The film is only for 18 and above and restricted to less than that. While some Netizens feel that it will be a setback for the film, some opine that it works in favor. Since the teaser and trailer has not shown any violence or bloodshed, the reason for the A certificate could be the adult comedy it has.
Viswaksen and controversy go hand in hand. Telugu film fans witnessed it time and again. Laila is no exception. The film had made enough noise for so many reasons. While disscussing a scene from “Laila”, Prudhvi who plays Mekala Satti has compared to YSR congress Party’s Performance in 2024 elections. Following to this films lead actor Vishwak sen apologized for that statement by saying they were not aware of what was going on as everyone was busy in welcoming Chiranjeevi right at that moment.
Due to this statement, #Boycottlaila has been started in social media. The producer and actor request fans to not judge the film because of this controversy. He also stated that “Why should i be blamed for someone else mistake. We actors become soft targets. we have worked hard to make this film, but more than 25000 posts on social media are calling it for boycott. Please support our film.”
After Viswak Sen said his apology few netizens react by saying “Its not correct to boycott the film, someone else mistake shouldn’t faced by the entire crew”
