New Delhi has now faced a tragic incident.

On this Saturday night,February 16, 2025, it is reported that at least 15 people, including 3 Children has lost their lives in a stampede.
The chaotic situation took place at the New Delhi railway station around 8 pm on platform numbers 13,14 and 15.

The reason that led to this tragic situation was, when a sudden rush of passengers broke out, who were waiting to board trains to Prayagraj. The situation turned out to be like this as there was delay in two trains for Maha Kumbh.
According to the officials, additional security had been provided in the railway station and four fire engines were also rushed to the spot.
Delhi police and RPF helped the injured passengers to reach the hospital. Evacuation process has also been done with the help of special trains service.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also posted the updates regarding the issue on his official X account.
