Prashanth Neel, who is known for black theme, signature dark, gritty visual style, reportedly ditching the black theme for NTR’s upcoming action flick.
Director Prashanth Neel has made only four films Ugram , KGF part o1 and 2 and Salaar, all these film feature a consistent dark theme, with visuals resembling of coal mining area. A source revealed that the director will not follow his usual black theme for his upcoming action flick with Jr. NTR. It is said that Neel is also planning to change the narrative backdrop and aiming for a distinct visual style that moves away from his established black themes.
A previously released first-look poster hinted at deeper shades, but sources now suggest the film’s visuals will shift away from a black-dominated aesthetic. The film title is yet to be announced but fans speculates film title as Dragon.
NTR in Prashanth Neel directorial upcoming action flick
Neel is currently busy in filming much awaited sequel Salaar 2 , which is expected to be completed in eight months and released around Christmas 2025. Rebel Star Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Shriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, and Naveen Shankar are set to reprise their role from Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. The upcoming sequel will continue the story of power struggles, revenge, and redemption from the first film. It will explore the characters’ motivations and consequences of their actions.
While NTR is busy in filming his Bollywood debut film, War 2 directed by Brahmastra : Part One – Shiva fame Ayan Mukerji. The movie serves direct sequel to 2019 film War and follows the story of Hrithik Roshan’s character, Kabir Dhaliwal, an R&AW agent who went rogue in the first movie . The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 14, 2025.
The film’s shooting is set to begin in late November, with Jr. NTR likely to join in January after completing War 2. This big-budget production, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is scheduled to be released on Sankranti in 2026.
