Udit Narayan is facing legal challenges from his first wife, Ranjana Jha, who has initiated a case against him for refusing to settle. She has expressed her desire to live with him due to her health concerns and alleges that he has withheld 18 lakh from a land sale while neglecting her needs.

According to the sources, Narayan claims that she is attempting to extort money from him. This same situation happened earlier and a case was also registered against him at the Bihar Women’s Commission, but both parties agreed to the settlement at that time.

After this situation, Ranjana expressed through her lawyer that she wanted to stay with Udit because of her old age and bad health conditions. She stated that her last wish is to spend the rest of her life with him.

Udit Narayan and Ranjana got married in 1984. later, he was accused of not paying attention to her after getting fame. Ranjana fought for her rights and then in 2006, she asked for help from the Women’s Commission. Following that the singer provided a flat for her and money assistance. There was news back then that he backed off after giving her a flat. It was said that Udit Narayan has given lots of money and even he used to give monthly assistance for her. Despite helping her, he is sad that she is still being desperate to extort money from him.
