Netflix finally dropped the much awaited South Korean sequel, Squid Game 2 trailer on their social media accounts. Check out for sequel Ott release date and updates of biggest reality TV finale in history.


Squid Game 2, Netflix’s most successful series is returning for its highly anticipated second season. The much awaited trailer has been released, causing great excitement among the series worldwide fans. As the story progresses, the stakes mount and the story becomes progressively complicated.

With just 46 days for it’s worldwide Ott release, Netflix finally shared Squid Game Season 2 trailer with lots of twists. We’re left with a contrast between new and old, implying that things will alter. Fans believe it’s for a reason and already answering the biggest changes we’ll see.


Ever since the trailer release many netizens are sharing their fan theories and spoiler on social media. A Reddit user shared his fan theory, he wrote,” My prediction is that the games are meant to be the same but Gi-hun spoils them for everyone so they had to change them.”

Another user wrote,” Also to give him a false sense of security. He’s probably gonna tell everyone what the second game is but then finds out it’s something completely different.”

Another netizen wrote ,“I have a feeling that the games are supposed to go as planned but then the frontman notices that Gi-Hun starts spoiling and warning the new players of what’s coming.” 

The second season serves direct sequel to the 2020 drama and is set three years after Gi-hun won Squid Game, giving up on going to the United States and returning with a new resolution in mind. He once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of ₩45.6 billion.

The second season of the South Korean dystopian survival thriller television series Squid Game, developed for television by Korean writer and television producer Hwang Dong-hyuk, is set to debut on Netflix on December 26, 2024.
