Good news for the residents of Hyderabad, from now on, there is no need to run from one place to another for buses and metro services. The authorities are working to make MMI services available at busy junctions. Through this system, metro, buses, and autos will be available at one place at busy junctions.
The life of the people of Hyderabad city is a hectic one. Many people who go to jobs, colleges and other work travel by metro, city buses, MMTS trains and autos. However, if you get off the metro at one place, you have to struggle to get to the bus stop. You have to get off the bus at one place and cross the junction to get to the metro train.
We see such a troublesome situation in many parts of the city. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority is making efforts to provide relief to the passengers from this difficulty. For this, it is preparing a plan for Multi-Modal Integration (MMI).
To this end, HMDA is planning to make changes and additions at junctions so that MMTS, buses, autos and other transport services are available at one place. In the first phase, plans are being prepared to implement MMI at several junctions from Ameerpet and Secunderabad Metro Station to Gandhi Hospital. As part of this, coordination meetings are being held with Metro, RTC and traffic police. The officials are planning to implement these services at Ameerpet Metro under the pilot project and later expand them to other areas.
Currently, passengers at places like Ameerpet Junction are getting off the bus at a different place and crossing the junction again to get on the Metro train services. Similarly, those who get off the Metro train are coming back and boarding buses at bus stops. With the introduction of MMI services here, bus stations will be set up under the Metro station itself. A special line will also be allocated for this. Footover bridges are also available across the city to connect to Metro stations. Currently, these are mostly used by Metro passengers only.
In metro stations like Khairatabad, these are also useful for passengers. passengers and pedestrians cross the roads dangerously in traffic jams and sometimes get into accidents. MMI will put an end to this situation. Passengers who get off the bus and metro at the respective junctions have a chance to use the footover bridges and reach the other side of the road easily.
