In this same phase tv anchor cum actor Priyanka chahar has responded recently in an interview, she said, “every actor should be given opportunity, without any background coming into industry is a real struggle”. She also said that many asprining actors face rejections and rejections makes a person stronger. Many Tv anchors and television celebrities has become actors now like mrunal thakur, vikrant massi, Radhika madan and many others.
Not just in Bollywood, even in Tollywood most of the producers prefer to have hindi speaking actresses than telugu people. This hireracy in the industry has been growing since ages, presently the new age directors and producers are preferring new faces and this will help new actors also. Tv actor Mrunal Thakur who became famous with her acting in Sita Ramam is now one of the top actresses in south industry. Many other celebrities like Anasuya Bharadwaj, Colors Swathi, Rashmi Gautam and also Sushant Singh Rajput all of them has started their career in Television and then they shifted to films.
It cannot be denied that aspiring new-age actors are having difficulty getting roles, and as a result, many of them continue to ask producers and directors to do a screen test and then reject them if they are not fit, rather than rejecting them based solely on their lack of film background.
