Directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, the film ‘Chhaava’ was released in theaters on February 14 and did well in terms of box office collection. The film has now also joined the Rs 500 crore club. The pace of the film in theaters is not slowing down. Meanwhile, a special update has come out regarding its OTT release.
Along with this, ‘Chhaava’ was also released in Telugu language on March 7. The film is based on the valor and sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, whose character is played by Vicky Kaushal in the film. At the same time, discussions have started on its OTT release. Netflix has the OTT rights of the film.
According to reports, the film will be released on Netflix in the second week of April. However, it is being said that ‘Chhaava’ will come on OTT on April 11, 2025. However, these news have not yet been officially confirmed by the streaming platform or the makers. However, it is expected that an official update will come out on this soon.
Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta and Neil Bhoopalam. Ashutosh Rana has appeared in the role of Sarsenapati Hambirrao Mohite in the film. Akshaye Khanna has played the role of Aurangzeb, while Divya appeared in the role of Soyarabai. The film’s soundtrack has been composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman
Vicky Kaushal starrer “Chhaava” has become a huge box office hit, grossing over ₹700 crore globally in just 25 days. The film has earned ₹620.3 crore domestically and ₹85 crore from international markets, making it the highest-grossing film of 2025 so far.
