Bigg Boss Telugu has consistently maintained a massive fan following since its inception. While the first two seasons were hosted by NTR and Nani, Nagarjuna has taken the reins from season three onwards. Actress Sonia Akula who participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 8 was evicted after four weeks. Though her stay in the house was short-lived, she managed to capture public attention with her strong opinions and presence.

Sonia Akula married her boyfriend Yash post Bigg Boss and has been enjoying her personal life. She has diversified her career apart from acting by working with a tourism company and managing an NGO. Her latest project Artist is set to release on March 21 and during the film’s promotional interviews, she made some bold statements about her Bigg Boss experience.

Sonia expressed her dissatisfaction while discussing her Bigg Boss journey with Nagarjuna’s hosting. She stated, “I have no intention of returning to Bigg Boss. I gained recognition only through this show despite acting in 20 films. But if Nagarjuna remains the host then I would never go back.”

Her primary criticism was directed at Nagarjuna’s hosting style. She accused him of altering statements and presenting her in a negative light. Sonia further claimed that the host has lot of influence over the show’s narrative. She said, “Nagarjuna reads from a script provided through his earpiece. He lacks the liberty to express his personal views. I suggest that Rana Daggubati would be a better choice as the host.”

Sonia’s comments have triggered mixed reactions on social media. While some fans supported her boldness in calling out alleged biases others criticized her for blaming Nagarjuna instead of accepting her own actions in the house.
