FASTag Users Alert: KYC Deadline Approaches on March 31

FASTag Users Alert: If you also use FASTag while driving, then this news is for you. The National Highways Authority of India has stated March 31, 2025, as the last date for completing KYC update for FASTag users, and if you do not update your KYC by this date, then your FASTag will be deactivated or blacklisted, even if you have money in your account. So do this work first today or else you may have trouble later.

Why is FASTag KYC necessary?

As per the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), NHAI has implemented the ‘one vehicle, one FASTag’ rule to prevent more than one FASTag for a vehicle. Its purpose is to make the toll collection system more effective and reduce delays at toll plazas. The use of FASTag during the journey provides convenience to the travelers, so it is also mandatory to follow the rules related to it.

What is FASTag?

FASTag uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, which allows direct toll payment from your linked account. A FASTag sticker is placed on the windscreen of the vehicle so that the toll can be deducted automatically. To avoid any problem during the journey, update your FASTag KYC before March 31, 2025. By doing this, you will not have to stand in line and will save your time as well as money.

How to update FASTag KYC

First of all, go to the NHAI FASTag portal. After that, log in using your registered mobile number and OTP. Go to My Profile and select the “KYC” tab and update your information. For FASTag issued by banks, visit the KYC NETC FASTag website. Select your FASTag issuing bank from the list. Login to your bank’s FASTag portal. Update your KYC information online.
