Mohanlal’s upcoming film L2: Empuraan is going to be released on March 27th, 2025. The booking for this film has been started from today. There is strong backing from major multiplex giants like PVR, and INOX where this film is getting strong promotion in the theatres.
According to the sources, most of the big-budget films starring top actors like Vijay, Rajinikanth, and Ajith also didn’t receive this kind of treatment. Despite having many challenges in promoting the film in the multiplexes, the makers are dealing with this challenge successfully.
Most of the South Indian films close the OTT deals before the theatrical release. Recent examples like Rajinikanth’s Vettayian, and Vijay’s GOAT OTT release deals closed way early before the theatrical release. But what happened to L2: Empuraan, why didn’t makers close the OTT deal till now?
According to the sources, the makers of this film have gained immense support from Multiplex and they have agreed to delay OTT release for 8 weeks after the theatrical release. As of now, there is no deal closed by the makers, according to the insider information makers have got huge deals with popular OTT platforms. It is also expected that this film is going to sell for the highest price on OTT for a Malayalam movie.
There is an overwhelming response from the ticket booking. All over Kerala most of the theatres are housefull as of now. This film is gaining huge demand from the audience and leaving fans to go crazy with film updates.
