Salman Khan addressed the age difference with Rashmika Mandanna in their upcoming film “Sikandar.” He spoke at the film’s trailer launch event in Mumbai on March 23.
Salman, who is 59 years old, responded to the question about the 31-year age gap with Rashmika, who is 28 years old. He made a witty remark saying, “If the heroine has no problem and her father has no issue, then after she gets married and has children, her husband will also give permission, right?”
He praised Rashmika’s dedication and hard work. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to shoot for “Pushpa 2” and “Sikandar” simultaneously. After working on the “Pushpa 2” set until 7 PM, she would join the “Sikandar” shoot at 9 PM. She continued shooting until 6:30 AM the next morning.
Salman also revealed that Rashmika was unwell during this period. However, she remained committed and did not cancel a single day of the shoot. He appreciated her spirit and dedication. He even said that Rashmika reminded him of his younger self.
This is the first time Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna are sharing the screen together. When the pairing was announced some social media users criticized the age gap between the two actors. Salman and the filmmakers did not respond to these comments at that time.
The trailer of “Sikandar” was released on March 23. Salman Khan is seen in his usual action-packed avatar taking on villains. The movie was filmed under strict security measures due to threats received by Salman.
