Group 1: Over 20 Telangana Group 1 applicants have petitioned the Telangana High Court, contesting the way their answer sheets were evaluated. They said that justice and transparency were compromised by the state government’s and the Telangana Public Service Commission’s (TSPSC) failure to recruit competent subject matter experts.
Justice N Rajeshwar Rao ordered officials to turn in evaluation-related documents during Monday’s hearing, and he set a four-week timeframe for the next one.
Petitioner Requests:
According to the petitioners, the Commission’s method of assessing response sheets was unlawful, inappropriate, and against the principles of natural justice.
They maintained that it was illegal to use untrained assessors for evaluation. The candidates asked the court to order the government and the Commission to stop all additional selection-related activities until a fair evaluation system is in place.
In response to this petition, TGPSC’s counsel PS Rajasekhar said that the petition is premature as the results had not yet been released. He also said that this move for filing the petition is a hasty move. After hearing both sides, the High Court Judge has issued notice to give explanations for the both parties. Following this the court has shifted the case hearing to April 21st.
