PhonePe, Paytm, GPay Server down: Nationwide UPI Glitch

Nationwide UPI Glitch has let the Unified Payment Interface down across the country. Due to this, consumers found that they were not able to make payments through PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay. People are facing problems in making payments in between. NPCI has posted on X and expressed regret for this problem. UPI is down across the country, with complaints of not being able to make payments through PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay.

Nationwide UPI Glitch:

According to Downdetector, till 7:50 pm on Wednesday, 2750 complaints related to UPI being down were received. Out of these, 296 complaints were lodged by Google Pay users. In the same sequence, 119 complaints related to the Paytm app were received, while 376 people complained about an outage on the platform of the State Bank of India.

What is the problem? User told when UPI is down

Most of the people associated with SBI complained about the online banking service and fund transfer. A user wrote on X, What is the problem? UPI is down. Money was debited during payment but did not reach the friend’s account. Another user asked if there is any problem in UPI. Payment is not being done through Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm. Nationwide UPI glitch has bought a huge loss to various companies and individuals.

NPCI apologized for the inconvenience.

NPCI posted on X that NPCI faced technical problems intermittently, due to which there was a partial drop in UPI. Now it has been fixed, and the system has become stable. Sorry for the inconvenience.

NPCI tweeted, “NPCI had faced intermittent technical issues owing to which UPI had a partial decline. The same has been addressed now, and the system has stabilized. Regret the inconvenience.”
