UPI has issued an alert regarding fraud related to PAN Card 2.0 through its official X account. The X account has alerted users with the hashtag “I am not a fool.” The post reads, “Not every upgrade is a step forward—some can drain your financial resources. Share this with your friends so they can say #MainMoorkhNahiHoon.” Along with this, information has been given about how your bank account can be at risk.

UPI Security Warning:
Through the post, users have been informed that fraudsters are committing fraud in the name of upgrading PAN cards. The post says, “Your PAN card has been blocked, and to upgrade to PAN card 2.0 quickly, provide your bank account details and Aadhaar number. In this way, people can be defrauded by fraudsters. Therefore, do not share details like your bank account, PAN card, and Aadhaar card with anyone.

3. Do not share PAN card numbers.
