Saif Ali Khan Attack: Shariful Islam Shahzad, the accused arrested in the case of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, has filed a bail petition in the Mumbai Sessions Court. Through his lawyer Ajay Gawli, Shariful claims in the petition that he has not committed any crime. The case against him is just fabricated. This case related to Saif Ali Khan is currently going on in the Bandra Magistrate Court but comes under the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Sessions Court.
Shariful Islam Shahzad, accused in the Saif Ali Khan case, was arrested in January this year. Now Shariful has filed his bail petition in the Mumbai Sessions Court. According to the India Today report, the petition claims that the case filed against Shariful Islam Shahzad is completely false. The petition filed by lawyer Ajay Gawali said, ‘The FIR is clearly false, and the case against Shariful has been registered falsely.’
‘I have no hand in the Saif Ali Khan attack case…’ Accused Shariful made a big claim in the petition filed. There has been a new twist in the case of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Accused Shariful Islam Shahzad has claimed in the petition filed that he did not attack the actor.
Lawyer Ajay Gawali further argued in the petition that Shariful Islam Shahzad is fully cooperating with the investigating officers in the case. It was claimed that even if he gets bail, there would be no danger of his tampering with any evidence. It was also argued that Islam’s continued detention serves no purpose other than pre-trial punishment.
It is worth noting that Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife in the early hours of January 16 this year at his Mumbai residence. The report said that an intruder entered the actor’s house around 2 am. When Saif Ali Khan heard the noise, the intruder attacked the female staff present in the room of the actor’s younger son, Jeh. When Saif Ali Khan came to intervene, a scuffle broke out between the two in which the actor was injured.
