Now the latest buzz suggests that Deepika Padukone will have a standout alone film in the cop universe and Rohit Shetty reveals his plans for Deepika’s cop film.
In a recent interview, the cop universe director Rohit Shetty revealed that the plans are going for Deepika Padukone’s character’s stand-alone film on cards. The director also revealed that he was waiting for the right time to bring a lady character into the cop universe. “The wait was to get the right script and the right kind of launch for the character. Till 2018, I wasn’t even sure if there was going to be a cop universe.” He revealed that due to the pandemic, Sooryavanshi got postponed which led to the postponement of female-led films in the cop universe.
Rohit Shetty went on to reveal the details about the upcoming lady Singham film. He said that he does know how the character is going to be and her basic story arc but as a director and writer, he is not aware of the whole journey just yet. But he assured one thing that the female-led cop film handled by Lady Singham will surely happen. He also said “Otherwise we wouldn’t have introduced her at all. There’s a reason why we’ve emphasised on that character and her name in Singham Again.”
The first week of collections ended with a massive Rs 173 Crore. The film entered the second week with Rs 8 Crore on the second Friday. The Saturday collections stood at Rs 12.25 Crore. The weekend saw the hike in collections with Rs 13.25 Crore on Sunday. With two weeks of collections, Singham Again joined the 200 crore club. on monday the film collected Rs 4.25 Cr brining a total of Rs 211.00 Crore domestically in 11 days.
