AP Pension Update: The Andhra Pradesh Pension Scheme is a government initiative to provide financial assistance to the elderly, widows, disabled individuals and other eligible citizens.
The Andhra Pradesh government has released a crucial circular regarding April’s pension distribution. Due to upcoming bank holidays, the government has ordered officials to withdraw pension funds on March 29, 2025, to avoid delays in payments.
Banks will remain closed for three consecutive days:
– March 30 & 31 – Government holidays
– April 1 – Annual closing day for banks
Since pensions are usually distributed on the first of every month, the government wants to ensure that pensioners get their money on time.
– Pension funds must be withdrawn from banks on March 29.
– Pension distribution will start on April 1 at 7:00 AM.
– Most pensioners should receive their payments on the first day.
– Any remaining pensions must be distributed by April 2.
Who Will Handle the Pension Distribution?
– In rural areas, Panchayat Secretaries and Welfare & Education Assistants will manage the process.
– In urban areas, Ward Administrative Secretaries and Ward Welfare Development Secretaries will handle the payments.
These officials must securely store the cash until distribution begins on April 1.
New Audio Message Feature for Pensioners
To enhance user experience, the Pension Disbursement Mobile App now includes a new audio message feature. When pensioners receive their payments, an audio greeting will play.
Additionally, a personalized message will announce the pensioner’s name and amount to ensure transparency.
– All pension officials must strictly follow these guidelines to avoid payment delays.
– District collectors must oversee the process and ensure security measures are followed.
– Officials must greet pensioners with well-wishes during distribution.
This proactive step by the Andhra Pradesh government aims to prevent delays due to bank holidays and ensure that pensioners receive their money without inconvenience.
