The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check team has repeatedly clarified that such claims are misleading and that no such scheme is being implemented by the central government.

Additionally, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued warnings about such fake messages. They have urged students and parents to avoid falling for scams that claim to provide free laptops in the name of the government.

However, these programs are managed at the state level and are not related to any central government initiative.

How to Avoid Falling for Fake Schemes

3. Report Fake Messages: If you come across such misleading claims, report them to PIB Fact Check or the cybercrime department.

The claim that PM Modi’s government is offering free laptops to students is false. There is no such scheme at the national level.
