World’s Greatest Places 2025: Two Indian Destinations Make the List

India has earned a special place in the list of the world’s most luxurious destinations. TIME magazine has released its “World’s Greatest Places 2025” listm Among them, two Indian hotels and a fine dining restaurant have gained recognition.


TIME Magazine has recently unveiled its 2025 list of World’s Greatest Places which showcases unique destinations and experiences across the globe. This selection process includes recommendations from its network of correspondents and an open application system. Among the chosen locations, two Indian luxury hotels—Raffles Jaipur and Oberoi Vindhyavilas Wildlife Resort—have earned a place in the prestigious Places to Stay category.

Raffles Jaipur

Raffles Jaipur located in Kukas near Jaipur, opened in July 2024. Inspired by a traditional zenana (queen’s palace), the hotel blends Mughal-style architecture with modern comforts. It features intricate hand-carved marble, jaali latticework and thikri mirror mosaics. Guests can enjoy outdoor soaking tubs, an infinity pool with views of the Aravalli Hills and a spa with mineral pools. The hotel also offers fine dining experiences across four unique restaurants.


Oberoi Vindhyavilas Wildlife Resort

Situated near Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh, Oberoi Vindhyavilas Wildlife Resort spans 21 acres. It provides guests with opportunities to experience the wilderness and spot Royal Bengal Tigers. The resort features 19 luxurious air-conditioned tents with private gardens along with two exclusive pool villas. Visitors can also explore a spa, library, swimming pool and fitness center. Locally sourced ingredients such as kodo millet and mahua flowers are used in the resort’s open-air restaurant.

Along with these two hotels, Mumbai’s Papa’s restaurant also made it to the list under the “Places to Visit” category. This fine-dining hotspot is known for its exclusive dining experience with an 8-seater open-air restaurant and a 12-seater chef’s counter run by renowned chef Hussain Shahzad. The restaurant provides a blend of unique flavors and an immersive culinary journey making it a must-visit for food lovers.

World’s Greatest Places 2025:

These Indian destinations stand out as some of the most luxurious and expensive places in the world proving that the country is making a mark on the global hospitality map.
