India’s First Drone Delivery: 7-Minute Doorstep Service

India’s First Drone Delivery: Companies like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart have been delivering any goods to your home within minutes of ordering. And if you need medicine, various companies including Apollo and Medplus are also delivering to your door. However, due to traffic in cities, the delivery of medicine and goods is getting delayed. In this context, Sky Air, a leading drone logistics company, has come forward to deliver such goods and medicine directly to customers through drones. Sky Air has assured its customers that it will deliver medicines and goods in just 7 minutes.

Sky Air has started this drone delivery service in the Konanakunte and Kanakapura Road areas of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. It has been conducting a trial run in Bengaluru for a few days. The company said that it has plans to expand this drone delivery service further soon. These drone delivery services will be provided in approved drone corridors using Sky UTM navigation technology.

India’s First Drone Delivery: 7-Minute Doorstep Service

Sky Air CEO Ankit Kumar recently revealed that orders from companies like Blue Dart, DTDC, Ship Rocket, E-Com Express, and Shree Maruti will be delivered to customers. He said that this drone delivery service has already been started in Gurugram and 10 lakh drone deliveries were completed last year. Ankit explained that the name of this drone is Sky Ship One. He said that these high-capacity drones can fly at a height of 120 meters with 10 kg of goods in a single trip and can also travel through tunnels. After the delivery is completed, they will return to the place of departure. It was revealed that these will have black boxes.

For the last 2 years, there has been a lot of buzz about unmanned air taxis and drone services in Bengaluru. Recently, Sky Air has launched drone delivery services in Bengaluru. If this drone delivery is successful in Bengaluru, experts believe that there is a chance that drone delivery services will start in many cities of the country. If drone delivery services spread, many netizens are saying that delivery boys will be unemployed.
