Vikrant Massey Responds To Criticism About His Ideas On Secularism

When critics questioned Vikrant Massey’s secularism, he responded forcefully. Vikrant Massey also talked candidly about his brother’s choice to change his faith.

12th Fail was one of Vikrant Massey’s most significant films. He had got the break he deserved and had given a blockbuster movie as a vital lead star. The actor from Balika Vadhu, who received a lot of praise for his performance in the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film, is now ready for Ranjan Chandel’s Sabarmati Report. To uncover the truth about the Godhra event in 2002, the actor portrays a journalist who is joined by Raashi Khanna and Nidhi Dogra. But because of his involvement with the production, the actor is currently facing criticism and questions about his secularisation.

Vikrant Massey Responds To Criticism About His Ideas On Secularism

There is a lot of excitement surrounding Vikrant Massey’s upcoming project, The Sabarmati Report. In a Shubhankar Mishra interview on Unplugged, the actor responded to the criticism of why his secularism was questioned. He related personal stories and claimed that even his brother had changed his ways. Vikrant responded directly to the criticisms by saying: “My parents had an inter-caste marriage, so did I. My brother even converted to another religion. What could be more secular than that? A truly secular person stands by others regardless of religion, caste, or background.”

Shobha Kapoor, Amul V. Mohan, Ektaa R. Kapoor, and Anshul Mohan have all endorsed the film The Sabarmati Report. Vikrant went on to say that his principles were constant and that he had always considered himself to be a liberal who welcomed variety rather than an extremist. In response to a question concerning his secularism, the actor stated that he was a supporter of cohabitation and the respect for one another’s cultures while also having pleasure in his own. His attitude to secularism was more about respecting different religions and not disparaging anyone because he thought that everything should be understood rather than categorised.
