One-Hit Wonder Tollywood Actresses Now Forgotten

Some Tollywood actresses like Soundarya, Ramya Krishna, Rambha, Laya, Simran, Jyothika, Asin, and Nayanthara enjoyed massive hits in a row and long careers. On the contrary, a few actresses like Keerthi Reddy, Richa Pallod, Parvathi Melton, Anuradha Mehta, Sheela Kaur, Gowri Munjal, Keerthi Chawla, Neha Sharma, and Shamlee delivered a super hit film in their initial films but faded from the spotlight. While these actresses rose to prominence with their debut films, they failed to continue the success streak. Although the one-time wonder tag suits them, the fact is once upon a time they shone brightly. Failing to grab another hit, overshadowing by other newcomers, focusing on personal lives, encountering challenges in the industry, or similar typecasting, they are now forgotten. Here are some names with a past prominence but live in obscurity today.

Keerthi Reddy – Although she debuted in Gunshot opposite Ali, she became a star heroine after the stupendous success of Tholi Prema (1998) opposite Pawan Kalyan. Tholi Prema remains a cult classic, and the audience still remembers her performance as Anu. Despite acting in several other films, she failed to continue for a longer run. Initially married to actor Sumanth, she divorced him later and moved to the US.

Richa Pallod – No matter how many times we watched Nuvve Kavali, we still take the time to watch it again. A debut film for Tarun and Richa, the film was a super hit during its time. Even though she appeared in other films, she had an abrupt exit.

Parvathi Melton had her moments in Vennela and Jalsa. Besides acting, she also added glamour to her films. Because of her striking presence, she was expected to rule but she quit acting and married in 2013.

Anuradha Mehta in Arya, Keerthi Chawla in Aadi, Gowri Munjal in Bunny, Sheela Kaur in Parugu, Neha Sharma in Chirutha, Amrita Rao in Athidhi, and many others enjoyed early success but left no trace today.
