According to reports, Meta can launch its new and advanced AI model Llama 4 by the end of April. However, it may also be delayed again, as its launch date has been postponed twice before.

What is Llama 4?

Llama 4 is Meta’s new language model, which can talk like humans, answer questions, do coding, and also do difficult tasks like math. Earlier, Meta had launched a model named Llama 3, which could talk in 8 languages and was performing very well. According to the report, Meta’s expectations from Llama 4 could not be fulfilled at the moment. Especially in reasoning, math problems, and humanlike voice conversations, this model is still lagging behind models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT. For this reason, Meta is engaged in improving it further.

Chinese tech company DeepSeek recently launched a low-cost AI model, which proved to be very effective. Now Meta is walking on the same path. A special technology is being used in Llama 4, which is called Mixture of Experts. In this, a large model is divided into small parts, and each part is an expert in a particular task. This increases both performance and speed.

Meta plans to first release Llama 4 on its platform Meta AI so that people can try it directly. After this, it can also be made open-source so that developers and researchers can use it for free.

Will Meta beat OpenAI?
