Stree 2 Vs Chhorii 2: The spectacular trailer of Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha’s film Chhorii 2 has come out. The film ‘Chhori,’ which came out in the year 2021, was loved by the audience. Although it was an OTT film, Chhori showed many new things in the world of horror. Apart from Nushrratt, the film also stars actress Soha Ali Khan in the lead role, who is playing a negative role. This film is being compared to Stree 2. It is said that there are a lot of similarities between the two films, so Chhorii is being compared to Stree. But there are many problems with this. This is quite absurd. Let’s know why we are saying this.
Maddock has set a very high trend in horror. In such a situation, a new film, ‘Chhorii,’ came out in the year 2021. Now, if you compare it with a franchise film, then it is not comparable, because ‘Stree’ is not only a film with a massive budget and actors, but its popularity is also very high.
The biggest difference that makes the comparison of the films absurd is in their tone. Stree is a horror comedy, where in the first part of Stree, there was more horror and less comedy, while in part 2, there is less horror and more comedy. More gags connect their characters using the nostalgia of the previous film; on the other hand, Chhorii is a serious horror film. There is no comedy in it. Its story takes you to a world where saving lives is the main job.
Indeed, Nushrratt’s films ‘Chhori’ and ‘Stree’ both look very similar. Both are forward-looking stories, both have a female lead. Both have a story that shows a mirror to society in some way or the other. In this story, many questions are left from the beginning, which give a good buildup to Part 2, whereas the story of the first part of Chhori ends there itself. Its second part has completely new characters and a new story.

Apart from this, the character of Nushrratt in Chhori is well written. But this character does not have the depth like Shraddha’s character. Shraddha’s character may be named Raj, but the makers play this game because there is a mystery about this character from the beginning, and in such a situation, we keep connecting with her character. Where does that character come from? Where does he go? You automatically start thinking about Shraddha’s character: Who is she? On top of that, Maddock has created a whole universe with Stree, so, certainly, Stree’s story is not limited to these films only. Whereas Chhori is not a part of any universe. It is a standalone story.
