Saudi Arabia’s Visa Ban on 14 Nations: Saudi Arabia has taken important steps to ensure security during the Haj pilgrimage. Saudi Arabia has banned visas from 14 countries. The independent state  Saudi Arabia has now made registration mandatory for Hajj and Umrah. The visa suspension includes Haj and Umrah visas as well as visas for business and family trips. This ban will remain in force till mid-June, as the Haj pilgrimage ends in the month of June.


Saudi Arabia Visa ban on 14 countries

Saudi Arabia has temporarily banned the issuance of visas to people from 14 countries, including India and Pakistan. India is also included in these 14 countries. Apart from this, a visa ban has also been imposed on Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Yemen, and another country.

Saudi officials have cited security during the Haj pilgrimage behind the decision to ban visas. Officials said that many foreign nationals are entering the country on the pretext of Hajj, Umrah, and business-family trips. After this, they are illegally spending more time in the country, whereas the visa is for a limited time.


The Deadline For Visa Applications

Let us tell you that Saudi Arabia has taken strict steps regarding visas. The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has given strict orders to the officials regarding the visa for the Hajj pilgrimage. Under this, foreigners can apply for a Hajj pilgrimage visa only till April 13. If the visa is not applied for till these days, then no new Hajj visa will be issued till the end of Hajj.

Digital guide launched in 16 languages ​​for Hajj

Saudi Arabia has made a new rule. A digital guide has also been launched in 16 different languages ​​for Hajj and Umrah so that tourists can get help and guidelines.

1000 lives were lost during the Hajj in 2024.

Let us tell you that last year, in 2024, 1000 people lost their lives during Hajj. Due to overcrowding and heat, people’s health deteriorated. Therefore, Saudi Arabia has taken the step of banning visas and requiring them to be registered. Officials have also warned that no person will be allowed to enter the country illegally. If he tries to break the rules, then a 5-year ban can be imposed on entry into Saudi Arabia.
