A major highlight of Amaravati’s development is the plan to build India’s largest railway station near Nekkaluru and Pedaparimi. The Andhra Pradesh government has proposed allocating 1,500 acres for the station. This station will be developed with modern infrastructure, similar to an airport.

The railway line will be constructed in two phases:
Phase 1: 27 km from Errupalem in Khammam district.
Phase 2: 56.53 km in total.

A 3.2 km railway bridge over the Krishna River will also be built. The estimated cost for the first phase is ₹800 crore. But land acquisition is facing resistance from some farmers in Tadikonda, delaying progress. Despite this, the government is confident about completing the acquisition within two months.
