Must-Have Safety App: Currently, there are situations where girls have to be afraid to travel alone. A series of atrocities against girls in the state are disturbing. In this context, the Telangana government has specially launched the T-Safe app for the protection of girls. The government is advising every girl and woman who uses a smartphone to download this app.

In the current era, women are left without protection in society. Whether it is small children, girls or the elderly, sexual assaults and harassment continue to happen. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) statistics, reports indicate that crimes against women in Telangana increased by 5 percent in 2024. Attacks, rapes, and sexual harassment against women are taking place.

In this context, the police are taking special measures for the safety of women in Telangana. ‘She’ teams have been formed with specially trained women police officers to catch those who harass women in public places. A safety app has been specially created for those traveling alone in trains, buses, and cabs.

Nowadays, it has become a challenge for women to travel alone in private vehicles as well as RTC buses and trains. Even if they travel with some courage, atrocities are still happening somewhere. The recent Medchal MMTS incident is an example of that. The Telangana government has specially created the T-Safe app to protect women in such difficult times. Through this app, the police department is protecting girls.

Must-Have Safety App: Be sure to download it on your mobile

• Every girl and woman who uses a smartphone must download the T-Safe app.
• Go to the Play Store on your mobile and download the app. You will need to register by entering the name and phone number of the woman or girl.
• Then click on the Help Citizen section and add the area they need to go to, the vehicle number they are traveling in, and the train number if traveling by train.
• Police monitoring begins as soon as the smart button is pressed in the T-Safe app on the phone.
• Once the vehicle is started, the police will constantly monitor your location.
• Messages like “Are you safe?” are sent to your mobile phone. If there is no information from the victim, the vehicle is immediately tracked and identified. Information is sent by dialing 100.
• The police will arrive there immediately and provide you with protection.
