APPSC Junior Lecturer Exam Schedule:
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the Junior Lecturer (JL) exam schedule. The exams will be conducted from June 16 to June 26. The tests will take place in two shifts daily. The morning session and evening session will have separate exams. But there will be no exams on June 20, 21 and 22.
The APPSC has announced the recruitment of lecturers and junior lecturers. These posts are for polytechnic colleges, government junior colleges, government degree colleges, TTD and TTD oriental colleges and TTD junior colleges. The exams will be computer based. Candidates who have applied for multiple notifications will not need to rewrite GS and MA subject papers. Their marks will be considered for all relevant applications.
The selection process includes a written test, document verification and a merit list. The written exam carries 450 marks. It has two papers. Paper 1 is a general paper with 150 marks. Paper 2 is subject specific and carries 300 marks. The exam has a negative marking of 1/3 for every wrong answer. Each paper lasts 150 minutes. APPSC will release the admit cards a few days before the exam on its official website.
The computer based exams will be held for lecturers in various government and TTD colleges. The confirmed exam dates are June 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25 and 26. The exams follow a common syllabus. The notification for these recruitment exams was released in 2023.
On June 16, morning session exams include degree lecturers for political science, physics, Oriya, commercial and computer practice and chemistry. The afternoon session will have degree lecturer exams for computer applications, computer science, home science, Sanskrit, garment technology and geology.
On June 17, the morning session includes computer science and engineering, electronics, physical education, biomedical engineering and civil engineering. The afternoon session includes biotechnology, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics engineering and instrumentation engineering.
On June 18, the morning session will have chemistry exams for degree, junior and TTD junior lecturers. The afternoon session will have English exams for the same categories.
