AP Mega DSC: Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT and Electronics, directed officials to complete all education reforms in Andhra Pradesh by June. He emphasized a smooth DSC process without legal issues. A review meeting covered topics like Mega DSC, SSC and Inter results and dashboard development. Lokesh stressed that after reforms, the focus should be on improving education standards for the next four years.
Lokesh instructed officials to announce it soon without legal hurdles. He ordered officials to ensure smooth SSC and Inter results declaration. The results should also be available on traditional media and the Manamitra app.
A conclave of education ministers from different states is planned in August. The Union Minister has already agreed. Lokesh directed officials to make necessary arrangements. He instructed them to complete a full-fledged dashboard by May. It should include learning outcomes, infrastructure, student attendance, and pending files in government schools.
He asked students to log into the Leap app using their Aadhar-linked Apar ID. The registration is 85% complete. Officials must resolve technical issues and finish the process. He insisted on reducing dropouts in government schools. Measures should be taken to prevent any further dropouts.
Transparent online admissions are being implemented in schools under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. Lokesh approved the completion of teacher transfers in KGBVs during the summer vacation.
In Amaravati, he ordered the construction of a central library, training academy and archives museum. He also proposed introducing clickers with advanced technology for students. It will first be available to 9th-grade students and later extended to grades 6 to 10 based on performance.
A new government order (GO) will replace GO No. 117 soon. Textbooks must be ready by the reopening of schools. Officials reported that 48% of the books have been printed. Steps are being taken to implement the Supreme Court order on special education posts. Teacher transfers and promotions should follow strict guidelines with no influence from external sources.
The centennial celebrations will begin on April 26, 2025 and continue until April 26, 2026. Andhra University was established in 1926. The Vice-Chancellor unveiled the university’s vision for the centennial year.
Lokesh stated restoring Andhra University’s past glory. He set a goal for the university to rank among the top 100 in QS rankings. Necessary steps will be taken soon. Vacant university positions will also be filled.
