His name is also on the list of clients who spent time in the brothels and paid a lot of money, according to documents submitted to a Boston area court.
Investigators said Anurag’s name is among a special group of clients, including doctors, lawyers, government officials, and government contractors. They said they pay $600 per hour for a girl. They said most of the girls they choose are Asian. The women are believed to be involved in human trafficking. Gradient staff have expressed concern over their boss’s name being implicated in the case. Some employees are demanding that he resign from his position. However, the company has expressed support for Anurag. It has expressed faith in the judiciary.
Anurag is one of the founders of Gradient, a Boston-based company that treats wastewater. Born in India, Bajpayee has become a leading figure in the cleantech industry. Under his leadership, the company serves industries such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, mining, food and drinks. The company operates more than 2,500 businesses in more than 25 countries.
Bajpayee, who completed his schooling in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, Missouri in 2006. He then completed advanced degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master of Science in 2008, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. During his research, he did research on industrial desalination & water purification.
