Kangana’s film was backed by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) in September. Ever since the film got multiple release dates. Kangana took her social media to announce the release date of her upcoming film Emergency. The actress shared a poster of a film featuring herself along with the release date. Kangana captioned the post ” 17th January 2025 – The epic saga of the nation’s most powerful woman and the moment that altered India’s destiny. #Emergency – Unveils Only in cinemas!” After multiple delays, Kangana’s film got a final release date.
Emergency Hits Theatres: In the poster, Kangana features as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Anupam Kher as Janata Party leader, Vishak Nair as Indira’s son Sanjay Gandhi, Shreyas Talpade as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Milind Soman as Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw. Kangana’s film Emergency follows The incidents that take place under the leadership of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, one of the most powerful women in Indian history.
The film is scheduled to release on 17th January 2025. Though this film is based on the real-life incidents of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi perfect for Republic Day release, the movie is coming earlier to avoid a clash with another film.
Already, the Republic Day spot was booked by Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. And produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan.
