Arjun Kapoor, a Bollywood star, has time and again come into the spotlight for trolling on social media with trolls making nasty comments about his career and personal life. Talking to a website recently, Arjun revealed candidly how he has been coping with trolling on social media and how he had been on the internet, Arjun Kapoor Reacts to “easy target” for trolls. Arjun also added that clickbait culture is a troll booster since his name gets more publicity for content online.
Bollywood actor Arjun admitted that although he has acquired thick skin over the years that he has been trolled, the trollery still affects him. He described that he has taken it well and not fought back against his critics, which people take undue advantage of. Looking back at the recent past, he claimed that perceptions of him had become to escalate to something more, particularly during the COVID-19 period when he had been unfairly targeted as a scapegoat.
The Battle with Perception
The actor quoted the way perception about him as “someone’s son” overshadowed his career and achievement. Perception he described as a “deceptive thing” which touched his personal life and career too. He spoke of how, in spite of his attempt with different genres and also working with very successful directors, his films never quite managed to do so, leading to lean times in his career.

Arjun also spoke of the changing face of acting, stressing the increasing focus on performance and craft over conventional ones such as dancing or body. He appreciated the young group of actors for being choosy about performing important roles and attributed OTT platforms for changing the mindset of the audience.

In spite of all the odds, Arjun is steadfast and committed to his career. He feels that one has to learn from one’s mistakes and keep working towards becoming a better actor. With new ventures like No Entry 2, Arjun is going to prove his mettle and overcome the negativity.
