Rajamouli’s next movie with Mahesh Babu was expected to begin soon, but the filmmaker insists on a perfect bound script before starting the shoot. SSMB 29 is a jungle adventure thriller inspired by classic films like Indiana Jones. It will be set in the Amazon forest and filmed in real locations and specially designed sets in Hyderabad.
Mahesh Babu is co-producing the film and is reportedly not charging an acting fee. He is also undergoing training to transform his physique for the role. A source revealed that flick pre production SSMB 29 is reportedly delayed again due to director personal commitments. Recently, Rajamouli’s nephew, Sri Simha Koduri, son of music composer Keeravani, celebrated his pre-wedding festivities with Murali Mohan’s granddaughter Raga Maganti at Hyderabad’s Golkonda Resorts.

The grand wedding is set to take place on December 14 in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, followed by a week of celebrations, including a reception in India.
According to a source Rajamouli is unlikely to focus on Mahesh’s film until after Sankranti next year. Mahesh, who recently revealed a fresh new look, will have to wait a bit longer for the project to kick off, as Rajamouli wraps up his personal commitments.
The SSMB 29 is estimated to have a budget of around Rs 1000 crore, making it one of the most expensive films in the country. The adventurous flick is expected to feature Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is rumored to play the main antagonist. The film’s shooting is scheduled to begin in January 2025 and is expected to be released in 2028 in multiple languages worldwide.
