Malayalam mystery thriller Kishkindha Kaandam starring Asif Ali and Vijayaraghavan is all set for it’s Ott grand debut on this ott platform on this day . Check to know about ott platform and release date here.

Kishkindha Kaandam is directed by Dinjith Ayyathan and written by Bahul Ramesh was released 12th September 2024 , coinciding with Onam. Kishkindha Kaandam received critical acclaim gaining praise for the story, screenplay, background score, the performances of the lead cast and became a commercial success at the box office. 

The digital and satellite rights of the film are acquired by Disney+ Hotstar and Asianet reportedly for an amount of ₹12 crore. Post successful theatrical running the film is all set debut on Disney+ Hotstar. The film stars Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali and Vijayaraghavan.

The story takes place in the monkey-inhabited Kallepathi reserve forest where ex-military officer Appu Pillai and his son Ajay Chandran, a forest officer, reside.

The film is produced by Joby George Thadathil with an estimated budget of Rs 7 crores and earned Rs 7.25 crores. It was released with moderate expectation and became the highest grossing film of Asif Ali’s career in a leading role. It also emerged as the 9th highest grossing Malayalam film of 2024.

Kishkindha Kaandam received positive reviews and good ratings from critics and audience. Anandu Suresh of The Indian Express rated the film 4 out of 5 stars and reviewed Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali-starrer is a brilliantly written, skillfully crafted mystery drama. Vivek Santhosh of The New Indian Express rated the film 4/5 and wrote, A sublime and poignant mystery bolstered by terrific performances.

The blockbuster mystery thriller, Kishkindha Kaandam is all set to entertain Ott viewers as the film is debuting on Disney+ Hotstar from 19 November 2024 across multiple languages like Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam languages.
