A woman recently filed a police complaint alleging that a 22-year-old youth from the same village raped her. But he escaped and fled, and no matter how much they searched, he could not be found. However, two days later, the villagers caught him and beat him as they pleased. First, they stripped him naked and then tied him to a bullock cart. Then, they took him around the village while attacking him. When his parents refused to listen, they tortured him, but they filed a complaint with the police. The police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
A 22-year-old youth from Visheshwar Ganj area of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh filed a complaint with the police on April 1, alleging that a man from the same area raped her. However, before the police reached there, he came to know about it and fled the village. For two days, both the police and the villagers searched for him. However, to no avail. But on April 3rd, the young man was caught by the villagers. However, they took him straight to the village instead of handing him over to the police.
They attacked him as they pleased, cursing and beating him. Then they brought a bullock cart and tied him to it. After that, they stripped him completely naked and beat him all over the village. In the process, many people even tried to set dogs on him. However, when the young man’s family members came to know about it, they begged the villagers to let him go. But they continued to attack him without showing any mercy. After going all over the village like this, the young man lost consciousness. With this, they dumped him in one place and all the villagers went home.
However, his family members who were there immediately rushed him to the hospital. He remained in the hospital for about 15 days and received treatment. Many villagers posted videos of the attack on him on social media. This video went viral in an instant. Especially the rape accused, including his family members, saw this video on April 17th. Then they went straight to the police and filed a complaint. The police, who entered the field, registered cases against several people who beat the rape accused and paraded him naked. This further escalated the conflict. After learning about this, the police took heavy security measures to prevent any untoward incidents in the village. They are guarding the place.
