As part of infrastructure development, civil works will commence for the construction of a cement concrete road adjacent to Maula Ali Kaman. Rachakonda police have declared traffic diversions in the region from April 27 to May 26, 2025.

Purpose of diversions

The diversions are meant to ensure smooth flow of traffic and cause the least inconvenience to commuters during the period of construction. As per Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, the road works are to address the repeated problem of waterlogging in the area. The improved cement concrete road is to bring long-term relief to residents and commuters frequenting the area.

Traffic diversions declared in Hyderabad

In their advisory, Rachakonda police have instructed alternative routes for vehicles traveling through the area:

– Vehicles from ECIL towards Lalapeta and Tarnaka at ZRTI signal, H.B. Colony, Unani Hospital and NTR statue will be diverted at Ramadevi signal and routed to their destinations through alternative routes.

– Likewise, traffic from Tarnaka, Lalapeta and ZRTI signal towards ECIL will be diverted through ZRTI Y junction. Beyond NTR statue, Unani Hospital, HB Colony and Ramadevi signal.

Public cooperation requested

The police have appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic staff and follow the diversions. Passengers are asked to pre-plan their trips in order to minimize possible delays. Authorities emphasized that these diversions are short-term measures undertaken to maintain public safety during the construction phase and to avoid accidents.

Long-term benefits

Though diversions will be inconvenient in the short term, the upgraded road will make a major difference to the quality of travel in the area. Rachakonda police have reassured locals that the work is being carried out to enhance infrastructure in the area and to tackle issues.
