Summer Holidays Lead to Huge Rush of Devotees in Tirumala

Devotees in Tirumala:
Tirumala is witnessing a massive increase in devotees. Summer holidays have started. People from different parts of the country are arriving in large numbers. The extreme heat is creating problems for many devotees.


Devotees in Tirumala: Weekends and holidays are adding to the rush. Thousands of pilgrims are reaching Tirumala daily. Long queues are forming for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Many are standing in lines for several hours. Some are facing difficulty due to the hot weather.

Vehicle movement has also become difficult. At Alipiri checkpoint, the inspection process is taking more time. Vehicles are stuck in long lines. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) staff is working hard to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. Officials are taking special measures to avoid any discomfort for devotees.


Summer vacations were recently declared in both Telugu states. Families are using this time to visit Tirumala. The crowd is expected to grow further during weekends. In view of the rush, TTD is implementing crowd management steps. Additional facilities are being arranged to handle the rising number of visitors.

On Friday alone, 64,536 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Around 30,612 devotees offered their hair. The hundi received Rs. 3.37 crore in donations. Devotees are waiting in 26 compartments. The current waiting time for Sarva Darshan is over 12 hours.

TTD Executive Officer Shyamala Rao held a review meeting with officials. He directed them to provide better training to Srivari Sevaks. A detailed plan is under preparation to improve the quality of service. Training will be provided in a planned manner.

Experts from fields like medicine, education, engineering, IT, catering, culture and cow protection will be involved. Overseas devotees will also be encouraged to participate. Changes in the IT application are being considered for smoother coordination. The aim is to provide quality service to all devotees.

TTD is taking all steps to manage the crowd and ensure comfort for pilgrims. Devotees are requested to follow instructions and cooperate with the staff. Tirumala continues to be a major spiritual destination, attracting lakhs of people even during summer heat.
