Punjab to Deploy Anti-Drone System at Pakistan Border

Anti-Drone System on Pakistan Border: Amid rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border, the Punjab government has decided to strengthen border security by deploying an advanced anti-drone system. This decision comes in response to the increasing use of drones from Pakistan to smuggle weapons and drugs into Indian territory.

Anti-Drone System on Pakistan Border:

According to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the new anti-drone technology will help security forces detect and destroy any drones entering from Pakistan. This step is aimed at stopping cross-border crimes and improving safety for people living near the border.

For the past several days, there have been regular ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. These include unprovoked firing from Pakistani posts, particularly during the night. In the latest incident, Pakistani troops targeted Indian positions in multiple sectors such as Naushera, Sunderbani, Akhnoor, Baramulla, Kupwara, and Pargwal. The Indian Army responded quickly and firmly to these attacks.

Officials believe that Pakistan is increasingly using drones for illegal activities. These drones often carry arms, ammunition, or narcotics, and try to cross into India unnoticed. With the new anti-drone system, Indian forces will be able to detect, track, and destroy such threats in real-time.

The anti-drone system is a high-tech solution that includes radar detection, jamming devices, and automated weapons to shoot down drones. This deployment is part of a broader security strategy to protect Indian borders and prevent any kind of infiltration.

In addition to the military response, the Punjab police and other security agencies are being trained to operate and support this system efficiently. The move reflects India’s commitment to modernize its border defense and prevent the misuse of drone technology.

The Punjab government’s decision marks a significant step toward improving national security and ensuring peace along the border, especially in light of ongoing cross-border tensions.
