Telangana Forest Development Corporation: Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Having reached a decade of service in the promotion of sustainable forestry, eco-tourism, and environmental protection in the state. TGFDC has, since its inception, been pioneering better forest management practices, partnering with local communities, and maintaining biodiversity.
Under the leadership of Vice Chairman and Managing Director G Chandrashekar Reddy, TGFDC has developed some green practices that have worked magic in saving forests and ecotourism. Through different projects, the company has promoted forest cover conservation, enhanced local employment opportunities, and commissioned pioneering afforestation schemes.
Eco-tourism, the area of focus of TGFDC, has been encouraged through initiatives such as forest-based adventure trails, wildlife conservation, and eco-tourism tourism. Responsible tourism has been encouraged, and Telangana has become a model state for nature-based tourism.
The 10-day festival is a series of participative events to create awareness regarding forest conservation and sustainability among the masses. From climate action workshops to awareness campaigns and community plantation drives, there are several programs aimed at engaging all stakeholders at every level ranging from environmentalists to students.
Particular importance has been accorded to grass-root involvement and the central role played by grass-root involvement in environmental protection. By encouraging eco-friendly practices among the masses, TGFDC again emphasizes the importance of long-term sustainable environmental planning.
The celebration would culminate on May 14 at Botanical Garden of Hyderabad in a range of scintillating award ceremony. The festival would be designed to respect individuals and units that have attained excellence in the mission of conservation of forests along with sustainable growth.
