Unseasonal Summer Rains Disrupt Life in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Rain Alert:

The summer season in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has turned into a surprise rainy season. Over the past few days, several districts in both Telugu states have been experiencing heavy rains with strong winds. The unexpected weather is causing concern, especially in north Telangana and north Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Rain Alert:

Farmers in many areas are worried. The sudden rain has damaged paddy stored at IKP centers. Even after covering it with tarpaulin, strong winds blew away the covers and soaked the grains. Farmers are expressing frustration over this loss. They begin the day with hot sunshine, but by evening, heavy rain and wind spoil their harvest.8

The Meteorological Department shared a key update. It is expected to have light to moderate rains to continue for the next two days in several districts of Telangana. The rain is due to a trough system affecting the region. The department expects 40 to 50 km/h wind speeds in 11 districts. Temperatures may drop 3 to 4 degrees below normal for the next three days.

In Andhra Pradesh, rains continue in many north coastal and agency areas. Heavy rain with lightning and thunder hit parts of Alluri Sitharama Raju district, especially Paderu Agency. Annamayya district also reported similar weather in Railway Kodur. People are surprised by the combination of scorching sun and sudden rainfall.

Disaster Management officials said light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Alluri district such as Chinturu and Gangavaram mandals. Northern Andhra districts may also see lightning and thunder. Wind speeds between 40-50 km/h are possible. Temperatures may rise gradually from Thursday onwards.

The changing climate has brought confusion and concern to daily life. Farmers are requesting authorities to provide proper storage solutions for their harvested crops. The unexpected rainfall pattern has also impacted travel and electricity in some places.

The government is constantly looking at the situation. It is suggested that people stay indoors during heavy rain and avoid standing under trees or electric poles. Officials suggest farmers protect their crops using stronger covers.

This unseasonal weather is a reminder of changing climate conditions. Residents across both states are now hoping for better weather as summer continues.
