Telangana: Hydra Police Station Opens Today

The Telangana government has set up Hydra to curb land grabbing and encroachment of government lands. A special police station will be made available to further expand its scope. ACP Tirumal will be the SHO of this station, which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today. Six inspectors, 12 sub-inspectors and 30 constables will be on duty in this station, which is spread over an area of 10,500 square feet. The government has provided 70 vehicles to Hydra.

Commissioner A.V. Ranganath revealed that the police station under the auspices of Hydra will be made available today at the hands of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy . It will be officially inaugurated at 4 pm on Thursday. This police station has been specially built to support the Hydra organization. This station has been set up in the G+2 building next to Buddha Bhavan in Raniganj. It has been built on an area of 10,500 square feet.

Tirumal becomes the first SHO Hydra Police Station

ACP Tirumal will take charge as the SHO of the Police Station. Six inspectors, 12 sub-inspectors and 30 constables will be on duty in this station. This Hydra Police Station will focus specifically on cases of encroachment of ponds, parks and government land.

There is a possibility that many land grabbing cases already registered in other police stations will be transferred to the newly established Hydra Police Station. This will enable faster response and fearless action to be taken on the related matters.

Like the disaster and fire departments, Hydra will also have the power to register cases and conduct investigations on its own. It will work independently of other police stations with a specially appointed and expert team. It is learnt that more than 70 vehicles will already be provided to Hydra for its duties. Out of these, 40 are Scorpios, 20 are DCMs, bikes, tippers, etc. It is learnt that all these will be used for the services. These vehicles will be handed over to the station by Chief Minister Revanth.

THOSE 150 people have a place?

In the past, as part of the recruitment of police jobs, about 150 people who lost their eligibility for police jobs due to low marks were taken into Hydra through the Disaster Response Force (DRF). They will be specially trained and made part of Hydra’s activities. It is known that demolition has also started in the old town of Hydra . If a separate police station becomes available, its services will increase further.
