HIT Verse Female Cop: The HIT Verse, known for its gripping crime thrillers, has captivated audiences with its intense storytelling and strong male protagonists. However, fans have been wondering whether the franchise will introduce a female-led investigation, bringing a fresh perspective to the series. Director Sailesh Kolanu recently addressed this possibility, sharing his thoughts on the challenges of writing a female-centric version of HIT.
While Kolanu acknowledges that a female cop in the HIT Verse would be an exciting addition, he admits that writing such a story presents unique challenges. He believes that crafting a female-led narrative requires a different lens, one that male directors may struggle to fully capture.
“It’s extremely different when you write female characters,” Kolanu explained. “The world is not the same for men and women, and it would be egoistic to say that I completely understand a woman’s perspective.”
Kolanu pointed out that films directed by female filmmakers often have a distinct emotional depth and unique storytelling approach. He cited directors like Sudha Kongara, Nandhini Reddy, and Zoya Akhtar, whose films offer a fresh take on emotions and character dynamics.
“When you watch films by female directors, you suddenly feel a different take on emotions and scenes because they see the world differently,” he noted.
Kolanu originally envisioned the HIT Verse with four officers leading four separate cases. As the franchise expands, Parts 5 and 6 will feature two officers per film, culminating in Part 7, where all officers will come together for a grand investigative showdown.
Despite his concerns, Kolanu did not rule out the possibility of introducing a female cop in the HIT franchise. He acknowledged that such a character could bring new layers of storytelling, offering audiences a fresh perspective on crime investigations.

While Kolanu remains cautious about writing a female-led HIT film, the idea of a strong female cop leading a case in the franchise is intriguing. If executed with authenticity and depth, it could redefine the HIT Verse and bring a new dimension to crime thrillers.
