Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clearly defined India’s position as regards diplomatic negotiations with Pakistan post Operation Sindoor. He declared that dialogue alone would be engaged upon the subject of PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) alone, and no other matter would be negotiated. He also called upon the entire world to maintain an arm’s length distance. And refrain from attempting to interfere in India’s internal affairs.
Referring to the nation, PM Modi reiterated that talks and terrorism cannot go hand in hand. He spoke directly and insisted that India won’t negotiate with Pakistan unless talks are about the return of PoK. This is consistent with India’s adamant position that Pakistan must end sponsoring terror before there can be fruitful talks.
A recent tweet from US president Donald trump went viral. He announced the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. He claimed that he did the mid talk between the countries and he also stated that these nations used ‘Common sense’. This remark didn’t go well with Indians as the whole story is known by the entire world. Later a few reports revealed that there was no interference of US President Donald trump in the understanding of India Pakistan border ceasefire.
PM Modi also dismissed any foreign interference in trying to broker a peace between India and Pakistan. PM Modi has said that India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are not up for negotiations and that any talk on Kashmir will still be bilateral. His statement has come amid increased global interest in the India-Pakistan conflict. With some world leaders even claim that they act as mediators.
The statement by the Prime Minister follows Operation Sindoor, a robust military operation that was launched after terrorist attacks. They have been taking place over the last few days. He reaffirmed the fact that India’s soldiers are well-equipped to protect the nation from any adversity so that Pakistan would not succeed with whatever it is attempting.
PM Modi’s declaration reinforces India’s unwavering stance on national security and territorial integrity. By asserting that talks with Pakistan will only focus on PoK, he has sent a clear message to both Pakistan and the international community—India will not compromise on its sovereignty.
