Kochi: The food department is searching for a catering center that provides meals aboard trains, including Vande Bharat, which operates in the state. Stale meat and rotting eggs were found in the facility operating without a license of the firm. This center, located in Kadavanthra, Ernakulam, runs in an unsanitary way. This catering establishment has previously been the subject of complaints.
Complaint Raised in Kochi:
After locals complained that trash was being dumped into a nearby creek, a search was conducted earlier. A fine was subsequently issued by the corporation’s officials. Authorities at the corporation reported that they had sent out notices twice to obtain a license. They haven’t attempted that, though. The proprietor of this center is unknown to the corporation.

Expired Stock in Kochi Catering Center:
The catering center has an unpleasant stench. Following another complaint from the neighbors, an inspection was carried out by the corporation’s health department. Among other things, expired meat was confiscated. Here, migrant workers are employed. It has been decided to seal the center and close it. According to reports, this center was established a year ago. Here, we discovered food packets, including those provided in Vande Bharat trains. The railway officials haven’t provided any information on this, though.
