US Army Veteran John W Spencer calls Operation Sindoor a ‘Decisive Victory’

World-renowned war analysis expert, Army Veteran John W Spencer John W Spencer described India’s Operation Sindoor as a “massive victory,” a game-changer in military strategy in the nation. Careful analysis, Spencer added, established the operation to be not an act of revenge at all but also a strategic exercise that transformed India’s national security and deterrent policy.

Operation Sindoor:

Operation Sindoor was initiated in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack. When 26 civilians were massacred by The Resistance Front (TRF), a breakaway faction of Lashkar-e-Taiba. For the first time, instead of past responses through diplomatic protests, India chose to retaliate by taking prompt and precise military action against nine terror infrastructure targets in Pakistan.

Spencer described how India’s quick and clever military move showed unwavering power, clearly used in order to get strategic goals.

Operation Sindoor was successful on three strategic levels, based on Spencer:
Erasing terror infrastructure deep within Pakistan.

Confirming India’s mastery of employing the military and precision-strike capability.

Restoring deterrent by sending the message anew-terrorism attacks originating on Pakistani soil shall now be answered as acts of war.

Spencer commented, “Within only four days of measured military action, it is objectively verifiable: India won a colossal victory.”

India’s Transition from Reactive Diplomacy to Strategic Deterrence
Spencer described India’s reaction as doctrinal change—away from reactive diplomacy to autonomous handling of escalation. He asserted that India never allowed itself to be deterred by nuclear blackmail, asserting its right to strike terrorist havens emerging in the name of nuclear blackmail.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the position, stating, “Terror and talks can’t go together. Water and blood can’t flow together.”

Operation Sindoor has redefined the Indian military landscape, demonstrating that India will not stand for cross-border terrorism. Spencer’s support of the operation as a “decisive victory” is testimony to its strategic efficacy and value to national security in the long term.
