3 LeT Terrorists Killed in Kashmir by Indian Army in Operation Keller

Indian security personnel killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in Operation Keller, a very intense counter-terror operation carried out in Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir. The May 13, 2025, operation led to the recovery of a heavy arsenal of weapons and ammunition, further destabilizing terror networks in the region 3 terrorists killed in Kashmir by Indian Army

Indian Army used their instagram account to make a post regarding the update on the Operation Keller. They said, ” Update : OPERATION KELLER

Based on intelligence inputs regarding terrorists being present in Keller Forest of #Shopian District, Jammu & Kashmir, #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice and CRPF jointly conducted an operation on 13 May 2025, which resulted in the neutralization of three hardcore terrorists including the local LeT/TRF commander during a fierce gunfight. The three terrorists were directly involved in recent terrorist activities within the area. Recoveries of the operation are AK series rifles, vast quantity of ammunition, grenades and other war like equipment.


Success of this operation is because of immense synergy among all Security Forces and Intelligence Agencies. #IndianArmy remains steadfast in its resolve to root out terror. Any effort to destabilize peace will be met with firm and unflinching force.

Who Were the Neutralized Terrorists?

Among the terrorists who were killed was Shahid Kuttay, Category A LeT commander. And was implicated in a number of terror activities, including the Pahalgam attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians. The second terrorist, Adnan Shafi Dar, was active in targeted killings of non-local laborers. The identity of the third militant is yet to be ascertained.

Weapons & Intelligence Recovery
Security forces recovered AK-series rifles, grenades, scores of bullets, and other war-like material from the site of the encounter. The operation also revealed LeT’s command cell, inflicting a big setback on the terror outfit’s activities in Kashmir.

India’s Counterterrorism Strategy
Operation Keller follows the success of Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliatory action against Pakistan-based terror launchpads in the wake of the Pahalgam massacre. The Indian Army is committed to eliminating terrorism and making the country peaceful.

The successful completion of Operation Keller is a milestone triumph for India in the war on terror. With the security forces continuing their counterinsurgency operations, the Pakistan-sponsored terror groups continue to remain under pressure in Kashmir.
