PSLV-C61 Fails Mid-Mission: ISRO’s EOS-09 Satellite Not Placed in Orbit

PSLV-C61 Rocket Launch Fails:

ISRO launched the PSLV-C61 rocket to carry the EOS-09 (Risat-1B) satellite into space. India designed the satellite to watch its borders and support defence operations. The mission aimed to improve security using space based technology.

PSLV-C61 Rocket Launch Fails:

The launch countdown started at 7:59 a.m. on Saturday. The rocket was supposed to lift off at 5:59 a.m. on Sunday. The first two stages of the rocket worked as expected. A problem occurred during the third stage. The rocket stopped working properly and the mission could not continue.

The rocket failed to place the satellite in orbit. The launch ended without success. ISRO teams checked the systems to find out the reason for the issue.

ISRO Chairman S. Somanath said the mission was incomplete. He explained that experts are studying the data.ISRO Chairman promised a full report soon. He said ISRO will give clear information after the investigation.

EOS-09, also known as Risat-1B, is an Earth observation satellite. It provides high-quality images during day and night. It could work in cloudy weather and give clear pictures. The main purpose was to support border safety and military planning.

The satellite was important for national security. It could help detect movements near borders. It could also support rescue and relief during natural disasters.

PSLV rockets are known for reliable performance. ISRO has launched more than 50 PSLV missions. Most of them were successful. PSLV is often used to launch small and medium satellites. This failure is a rare event in the rocket’s history.

Engineers will now review all technical parts of the launch. The goal is to find the problem and make sure it does not happen again. ISRO will continue to work on future missions. The team remains focused on space exploration and national goals.

The failure of the PSLV-C61 mission delayed the launch of EOS-09. ISRO may plan another mission to place the satellite in orbit after it resolves the issue.
