Is Shah Rukh Khan Pakistani? Find Out Here

Shah Rukh Khan Pakistani: Heartthrob of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, has been a victim of speculations over his roots many a times. While it has been rumored in the past about his roots being in Pakistan, others have interpreted facts in a negative way, questioning his nationality. Let’s find out the facts behind SRK’s roots and nationality.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Background

On 2nd November 1965, Shah Rukh Khan was born in New Delhi, India. He grew up in the capital city before entering the film industry. His father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was from Peshawar, which, after being divided in 1947, became part of Pakistan. Nevertheless, his father shifted to India later on. His mother, Lateef Fatima Khan, was Indian too. SRK therefore became a proud Indian citizen and birth.

Even though his people are from Peshawar, SRK himself has never once professed to be anything but Indian and has lived his entire life in India.

Misinterpretation and Viral Conversations

Occasionally, a video or an interview from years ago appears in which SRK is talking about his Pakistani roots. And new speculations start. Recently, a viral video appeared where he was explaining how his family is from Peshawar and some of them still live there.

But being Pakistanis by birth doesn’t make Shah Rukh Khan a Pakistani. His origin is no different from that of most Indians whose ancestors resided in areas which became Pakistan during the partition.

Clarifying the Facts

Regardless of the infrequent allegations and rumors. Shah Rukh Khan is an Indian citizen and has made significant contributions to Indian film, charity, and international cultural representation. His identity is firmly rooted in India’s entertainment sector, where he has achieved an iconized legacy.
