On Sunday morning, a structure close to Gulzar House in Hyderabad’s Mir Chowk neighborhood caught fire. The catastrophe claimed the lives of 17 people. There were four children among the dead. So far, 11 bodies have been found. Two others are reportedly in critical condition. They are currently receiving emergency care from doctors.
A fire broke out at the Krishna Pearls building near Gulzar House, close to Charminar, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Flames quickly engulfed the building before anyone could react, spreading within minutes. Thick smoke filled the structure, making it difficult for people inside to breathe. Around thirty people were inside at the time, most of them asleep, which made the situation even more dangerous and escalated the severity of the incident.
